How a round becomes official

A round meets SDG 15.02 when all three of these are true:

  1. A posted course. The layout is published before the attempt: hole order, the tees and basket positions in use, OB, mandatories, hazards, drop zones, and whether the two-meter rule is in effect.
  2. A witnessed scorecard. A playing partner or a non-playing scorekeeper sees every throw, counts the discs at the first tee (SDG 4.01), and signs the card.
  3. Timing evidence. A GPS watch or phone activity file covering the whole round, or video of the first tee throw and the final putt coming to rest. Both is better.

Call it "course record, [layout], [date], witnessed by [name]," never a world record (SDG 15.03).
